REAL. PRESENT. PARENTING.

In Christ, we find our refuge. In Christ, we find our strength. What a powerful statement the psalmist uses, that “we will not fear though the earth give way.” How often does it really feel like the earth is giving way? Teens and parents alike face struggles that make the foundations that we thought were solid enough to hold us up, feel as though they are about to give way. The end of a marriage. The death of a friend. From season ending injuries to questions about identity, the earth may feel less than stable beneath our feet.

Yet, we are not going to fear.  Not because we are in any way brave, but simply because Christ in us, lifts us up. Those other foundations crumble to reveal the ultimate foundation in our life. God will not abandon us, no matter how much the next phone call or text may rock our world. “The Lord of hosts is with us!”
